Our Style – As your photographer, we will photography the significant special moments on your wedding day. We do appreciate that each and every wedding is unique, but here is a little bit about what we do during a wedding day.

We are professional photographers who offer exquisite wedding photography in Dumfries Edinburgh, Glasgow, Ayr, The central Belt Of Scotland, The Lake District and the surrounding areas. I am passionate about capturing those special moments throughout the day – the proud look on a father’s face when he first sees his daughter in her wedding dress to those loving glances and sneaky smooches during the newlyweds’ first dance. Those intimate moments are memories I will capture for you and your family to look back on and treasure forever. I often use a second photographer to photography the moments between the moments. He or she will have been vetted by me to ensure they can capture the high standard of photographs I know my customers will love, but like me, will also be unobtrusive.

Our aim – to photograph your wedding and provide beautiful memories for you both to treasure for years to come.

Our clients have commented on our relaxed and professional approach during the time we spend together. We try to blend into the background as much as possible so you can still enjoy your wedding day without feeling like you are on a photoshoot.

I can be there from the very beginning, capturing those special getting ready shots – the first sip of the sneaky glass of bubbly to help those pre wedding nerves, the excited giggles of the bridesmaids getting ready, those happy tears from the mother of the bride.

On the wedding morning, we like to join in with the bridal preparations. We have found there are so many photo opportunities here – make-up application, hair styling, followed by the exciting moment of putting on the dress.

Let’s not forget the groom – whilst I am busy photographing the bridal prep, my second photographer can be there to capture the Groom prep.

My second shooter and I can work together to ensure we are able to record both parties’ getting ready shots. The proud mother helping her son put on his cufflinks, the nervous handshake between father and son, the laughter between Groom and Best Man as they share lines from the speech.

With the help of a second photographer, we like to cover different angles of your wedding ceremony.

We want to make sure we photograph the special moment when the Groom sees his bride for the first time, and when she first sees her groom. To do this, I will usually stand at the front of the room, whilst my second photographer will be at the back to ensure we can capture those moments!

After the “I do’s” and the first kiss, we will photography the happy smiles and best wishes from your guests.

After the ceremony, we will be around to capture those informal and natural moments between the new husband and wife and their guests. This is also the perfect time for us to get those group shots – before the bar has been found!

We realise that everyone is there to enjoy themselves and to catch up with friends and family they may not have seen for some time, so we do like to work quickly and efficiently at this time.

Once you’ve enjoyed a glass or two of champagne with your guests, we will whisk you away to a place away from the crowds (if possible!) to create some truly amazing photographs. We keep this time as short as possible, so you have more time to enjoy the party!

As you will see from our gallery, we like to take a little time where it’s just us so we can take some fantastic photographs of those first few moments as newlyweds. The poses will already have been discussed and practised during your pre-wedding photoshoot so they will all come naturally to you both!

The speeches are a perfect opportunity to capture everybody whilst they are relaxed and completely unaware they are having their photograph taken!

We’re there, watching out for the reactions, tears and laughter shown during the speeches. People are completely unaware of being photographed during this time which allows us to capture the moments that help make your wedding day a memorable one.

The first dance – this is the perfect opportunity for us to capture the love as the newlyweds enjoy the special moment dancing to their special song.

We are often asked to stay to photograph the first dance as a married couple. We usually stay for a song or two after to also capture the funky dance moves you never knew your parents could do, to capture your brother or sister attempting to do the running man or the best man doing the Macarena. This also allows us a little time to sneak off to do a few after dark photographs should this be required.

What would you like for your wedding?

Hopefully we’ve given you an idea of how we work during a wedding day, but each wedding is unique and we will work with you to make sure we create the right package to suit your needs and personalities.
